Shana Grogan, President

Shana is proud to call Harwichport her home.

She has been teaching individuals with moderate to severe intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities for 25 years … and she’s not done yet!! In her role as the SHORE post graduate teacher at Monomoy Regional High School on Cape Cod and Best Buddies Advisor, she successfully implemented many programs such as Unified Sports, SHORE Landscaping, Shark Bite Crafts, Jawsome Java, SHORE Food Pantry, and the annual All Cape Cod Special Olympics that hosted roughly 500 students with special needs.

Additionally, she successfully started a business called Special Abilities Fitness where she provides training to over 20 athletes to enhance independent living skills through specialized exercise techniques. Lastly, she partnered with Pleasant Bay Community Boating to assist in the development of their adaptive sailing program that targets individuals with Autism and related disorders.
